Jeez, Lars. I haven't heard anything about bedbugs since my mom talked about them when I was little. It seems that the first question a landlord would ask a prospective tenant was, "You don't have bedbugs, do you?" Of course [as one of your articles suggest] this was before widespread use of insecticides. The method used to eradicate the bedbugs was to wipe a surface with a wet bar of soap. It seems that the bugs, eggs, etc. stuck to the soap. Don't ask ME how they removed the soap from the article wiped.
