Strike out against Big Brother - destroy the spy cams before its too late

Hey folks - give your gossiping, chest-pounding, insulting egos a rest and open your eyes to what's happening around you. Bush is installing a totalatarian state, the Pentagon is re-starting the Cold War, the economy has crashed and burned, and now one after another major city is installing computer assisted surviellance systems.

Wake the fuck up!!!

I just happened to turn on Big Brother 2 last night and saw a girl brushing the toilet with a guy's tooth brush. It made me sick. It seems this girl was pissed at something the guy did, so she wanted to get him back. The big brother of the show scolded her for it and told her to fix it. So she broke the tooth brush and replaced it. She never told (at least I don't think since I didn't finish watching it) the guy what she really did. What the hell is wrong with people?!

The bigger question is: “What the hell is wrong with people that WATCH this crap?”

No offence Maria as I suspect you were a victim of morbid curiosity.

Maria, there is something wrong with anyone who would be willing to be locked up in one relatively small area with a bunch of strangers while on camera at all times. In real life, that's called prison.

Telinet, no offense; I turned on the TV and that happened to be on. I never seen it before but happened to see the girl cleaning the toilet with a tooth brush and (just like a car accident) couldn't hit the remote button. I watched for about five more minutes.

Helen, I guess some people will do anything for money and 'fame'. I don't understand these 'reality' TV shows. MTV started it and the major networks have taken off with it. Temptation island (which I never watched) seemed so stupid but it seems the rating were good enough for a second installment.

Does anyone find TV interesting these days? There are only a handful of shows that I make a point of watching and those are dwindling down in numbers. We have hundreds of channels to choose from and nothing to watch. Just a little whine.

PBS still has some good programming. We don't watch the network stuff. We turned down satellite tv, and we'll never get cable way out here. We used to watch entertainment news programs like 20/20, but in cases where we knew a bit of background behind the stories, we noticed the network was throwing a definite slant toward the pc version of the story. So, no, we don't watch tv much. We read books, play games, work on the farm, and I "visit" with you wonderful people. :)

Yeah Helen I agree with you. If it weren't for the HBO shows and movies, I'd discontinue cable. I'm starting to do more outside activities (which will be hard come winter) and more projects around the house.
