Newcastle reserve's beat Annan Athletic 3-1 on Monday night and the big news isn't that at long last young hotshot Michael Chopra made his reserve team debut but that Marcelino started, and then lasted the full 90 minutes and watched by Spanish speaking scouts, had a cracking game!

The injury prone Spaniard played the full game alongside first teamers Andy Griffin, Steve Caldwell, Jamie McClen and Olivier Bernard and saw first McClen from 40 yards and Colin McMenamin, a former Annan player, score twice in the second half to seal a victory.
