Just been give an exclusive extract from one of the Guardians best writers...(i can't say who) ...Rushing to my knocking hotel room door i swept it open, not waiting to ask who was there (i had a good idea). It was Alex, i invited him in, my hands were trembling with expectation. The burly Scot placed carefully his almost Athenean frame on my whicker style chair. With the look of a man who i believe is akin to the Pope of football he blessed me with a question. "where's your cabinet, aa wan' ma wesky" i grappled with my shaking nerves and cracked open the safe and quickly poured the whole bottle of Bells into a coffee mug and handed it to the great man, though man seems a sadly inadequate word. I wondered out loud why Alex had come to see me, a Guardian writer, pathetic and admonishable in his presence. "aa' wan yoo ta prin' tha' words o Beckham"... to be continued

Well we have to give Bellamy a chance. I think when he gets to play alongside Shearer or Cort, we'll see him banging in a few Beardsley like Goals.
