Anyone wants to step into the Sutro Tunnel?

Sutro, Revisited: On August 4, the Sutro Tunnel in Sutro, NV (on private grounds close to Dayton) will be partially open to visitors for the first time in 40 years. The portal has been restored. Tours are organized by the Forth Warden School in Virginia City, admission is $30 for advance ticket sales, or $33 for tickets purchased at the event. It was great, and hot! Nice to see the great job they did on renovating the portal of the tunnel, and the inscription on top. Had a great guided tour with lots of explanations. Water is a precious commodity and the tunnel provides just this; I drank a handful of it, and am still alive! The mule building is the only structure other than the tunnel remaining from the period. Will see if I can get some photos on a Website for everyone to see...
