Must See Movies: What's on your "to see" list?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Script Brads : One Thread

Everytime I see a trailer for Planet of the Apes, I go, well, apeshit.

In anticipation of this huge event, I am forcing hubby to watch all the ape movies with me: the original Planet, then in chronological order: Beneath, Escape, Conquest and Battle. And, if I can find it, episodes of the tv series.

Needless to say, he is not amused.

But after the new Planet of the Apes, I'll have to wait a couple of months for Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.

Those are the three movies on my must see list. What are you anticipating with baited br

See?!! Now it's happening to YOU, the Queen of the Site.

As for me, I can't wait to see Rob Schneider in BUDDY CHEEKS: BUTT-DOUBLE TO THE STARS.

I don't know the release date.

Oh, and I forgot to add Monsters, Inc.

It'll be a busy November for me.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone!!!

(I refuse to call it a "sorceror's stone," that dumbed down title for American audiences. Ptui.)

Did Toni see me say "ptui?" I hope not. She'll whip my ass.

Heist.

Gene Hackman, Danny DeVito, Delroy Lindo, in a David Mamet film about criminals? (And what films aren't?)

I keep watching the trailer just to enjoy the quotables: "She could talk her way out of a sunburn."

Man, I am so there.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. I know, I'm a wanna-be trendy hipster, but Kevin Smith cracks me up.

So, Brad, was PotA all you'd hoped? I'll be honest and say that I was almost physically ill near the ending. Not quite Jurassic Park III ill, but I should have known better than to see that.

So I suppose this re-inforces the anti-screenplay sentiment, too.

Jared,

I have yet to see Apes. Hubby has been dragging his feet (or should I say knuckles?). I wanted to see it opening day without him, but he wanted right of first refusal. We're planning on seeing it this weekend, God willing. Although I may sneak it in on Thursday afternoon since Rush Hour 2 opens on Friday, and I know once I get him to the theater, he'll whine about wanting to see it instead of Apes.
