Omega enlarger 45 to 810

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

Recently, I read of an indivdual who has a Bessler 4x5 enlarger and was able to "kit" it out for 8x10--can this be done with an Omega d5?

Thank you--Raymond A. Bleesz

It might because Beseler 4X5 heads can be used on Omega D enlargers, but the best way to know for sure is to ask Beseler since they make the kit.

Would you have clearance to get an 8x10 negative with a carrier onto the negative stage?

They could do that because Beseler makes an 8x10 kit that is used for the conversion. I've never heard of any similar kit from Omega.
