And no I don't mean "fill in" as in getting filled in, I mean "filled in" as in whats the scoop about this love parade thing?? I was watching and waiting for news to filter over to the USA about massive riots in the north of England but all I got was northern italy.

Did the parade go off well? What part got cancelled? Exhibition park was still on right? There has been hardly nowt said about it, was it just a big loser for all concerned?

The way it was being slated I thought there would be mass riots up and doon Newcastle and not only because soopakev was on the quayside drinkin'

Damp squibb - pubs/clubs packed: few hippies loafed around on The Moor. Don't believe there was ever going to be an actual 'parade', but could be wrong there.
Probably even less action than at SJP.

They're talking about trying to do it again next year - the Love Parade that is, not the TwoBob - unless...........!

So! after reading several different reports on the non-event at SJP on satda, I have come to a completly misinformed conclusion. I think YBR made this an excercise in trying something different, in other words, control the game, prevent them from scoring, dictate and manipulate the game but most of all don't get injured. Although the players were essentialy the same from what it sounds like he wanted solano more involved. I think the main point he was trying to get across to his players was to come out of this with a clean sheet, build some confidence.

Bigg Market was packed with love paraders on saturday night, quayside was having none of it....just the normal saturday night crowd down there....I hear the unofficial thing still happened in Exhibition park and read on teletext last night that some young girl was raped making her way home from it.... :((
