What was the company that you had such bad service with the satellite internet service? And I know you switched, which one did you switch to?

Where I'm moving, there isn't any cable and thus no cable modem. Not sure if DSL goes out that far or not.

Upon scrolling, I see that you have got Starband. What was the one you had before that you didn't like (ie wouldn't work)?

Sar had DirectPC first and that is the one that was giving her such fits.

Sorry Sheep, JUST got on, well got on and got a phone call! neat being on line and on the phone too!!!!

we had Direct PC..and had a real HEADACHE....just got starband and so far...LOVE it, still working out little things, but already it is 200% better than the other..we did not crash or freeze or ANYTHING and we are very happy....but I guess at this point cable is still faster, but the sat is great if it is the other thing besides a dial- in. ask me questions I will answer the best I can..they both said NO FIREWALL!!!! don't let them tell you that..we have zone alarm, and we have it working! where are you, in Ohio????? I you give my name to starband I think we'd get 50.00 but don't know if you have to be in ohio?? oh well, it was a thought!!!

I would highly recommend it...way over Dirct PC!!!!

We talked for 3 yrs about getting cable run...no deal! and it ends less than 2 miles away...bummer!
