Bought me Hughes No. 18 today and was immediately asked "You do realise you are buying this at your own risk, don't you?".

What in the world is that supposed to mean? It's going to spontaneously combust? It'll fall apart at the seams while you're walking down the street? Why on earth would a shop employee say something like that to a customer? Weird.

It'll fall apart at the seams

There was a letter in the local paper a year or two back about a mum who'd taken her son's shirt back to the shop when it started to come apart at the seams soon after purchase. The shop attendant said - "But it looks as though he's been playing football in it"

Huh? :-)

I presume you were being tongue in cheek there Ciara and realise that the staff in the club shop know very well that Hughes is on his way .... :-)

Johnno, that was the Asics kit I think. It was a delecate garment

LOL, Jonno. I figured as much but didn't want to get Dougal all worked up again. ;-)
