The Golf

The British open is underway , and BBC's coverage is for once challenging Sky sports for excellence. Especially if you're lucky enough to be watching it on Digital satalite, cos you can go interactive. Unfortunetly I'm watching it on a 10" TV, with a really bad reception. It's riviting stuff though.

i gave up golf when it took 32 shots to get the ball in the hole. I prefer staring at my feet.

Rik, it's The Open Championship ... the word British doesn't figure anywhere in this event.

The first 2 days of The Open on BBC are the best TV ever. Fantastic coverage and the new interactive stuff is superb. .... sadly I'm at work and having to put up with the leaderboard on the desktop :-(

It nearly rivals the tension in my 4-ball match last night. We were 7 up with 8 to play and just managed to hang in to win 2 and 1!

Non of the early starters are picking much up on Monty so far this morning. He's still leading by 2 shots and goes out at 2.30.

I'm off tonight to see if I can go round in 92, which is what I should do according to the handicap secretary.

The Open (British) is only known as The Open (British) on that side of the pond. The Open (US) is known as the US Open because the Americans would hate to copy anybody.....

That was very restrained of them not calling it the World Open....;-)

I hope the Irish and British Lions win The Open.
