We shall see.

Here is one L of L. I hate dealing with the bank. They keep thinking that I want Super Deluxe Checking, and every time they charge me $25 for not maintaining a minimum balance of a bazillion dollars, I have to call them to say, "Hey! Jags! I have Po People's Checking! The kind where I'm not allowed to go inside the bank! Give me back my $25!"

Jags.

I made bread last night, but it was in the bread machine. Does that count?

I have po' people checking too. It cost one dollah! And they take my liver if I use a teller.

Y'all, squishettes.com gives me a headache. Too many things going on. and like Starlight needed yet another reason to not leave the house.

I visited that squishettes thing. Once. It's a padders wet dream. Whatever. I imagine that it would make pamie shudder, rather than proud of what she spawned.

I read one thread where they were like: Will pamie register? Have you emailed her to tell her about the site? Oh! I hope she posts here!

Sad, sad, sad.

Hey - Berman just sent an e-mail. Y'all around?

Allison!

I just wrote Johanna this long email about what a lame person I am, and how I've been doing these lame, lame things like homeowners insurance, and organizing the office here at home, and going to the grocery store, and calling caterers and bands, and sending out resumes. Really, really lame stuff. Boring things. Chris gets home at night and asks me what I did, and I tell him, and I know he thinks, "My god, she leads a lame life. She had better get a job."

Really, though, I'm content with my at-home life. Perhaps I should play the lotto.

At the same time, though, I'm having all these career crisis issues. Like, I'm 24. I should do something where I'm expanding on my network, etc. I could work for a campaign, or something. But then I think that really, I'd rather work at the Botanical Garden again and work in a cool place with neat people and get to go for parties as a part of my job. Oh. And I also got to read Southern Living as a part of that job. And go to luncheons. And plan the gala. I loved that job.

Point is, I'm lame. Dinner on Friday took forevah, and we ran into a guy who Chris' firm was indicting, and I was so, so tired, so we went home and were all grumpy. I think we may be going to a Braves game this weekend, either tomorrow night or Sunday afternoon (it depends on when what date has available tickets - they're through the firm, or a client, or something similar). Would y'all be interested?

"Get to go for parties."

I have been watching far, far too much "People's Court."

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

But, T, if you really were watching too much People's Court, you would have said, "What we had did, was that we had had to had gone to these parties, and whatnot."

This L of L has to continue to clean, and also go to the bank.

T - you are far too hard on yourself. You're job searching and planning a wedding and taking care of your home. How is that lame?

In other news, Hannah got an apartment.

Yes, it's in a complex. Yes, it's the suburbs, but y'all, I got a 150 off. 150! How could I not take it? It's my very first apartment by myself. I think I need this.

In case what would be happening is that you would be wanting to check it out.

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

I had been wanting to check them out, and I had had to say, them are some pretty apartments.

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

Thank you. I'm excited about it. Where be the other L of L?

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

Y'all, could I please stop getting google hits for "all ladies shaved"?

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

Ha ha!

I just got one for, and I quote, "MEAN ASS SHIT TO SAY TO PEOPLE.COM."

Now I have to buy that domain. I wonder if it's taken.

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

Oh, yeah, you need to buy that domain.

Joh, that's a great apartment. It looks so very pretty. Nice pool, too. And you won't ever have to mow the lawn again.

Have you and Melissa really talked at all? Has she fessed up to her jag-ness?

AB, I'm doing laundry right now. And I'm roasting a beautiful turkey breast in the crock pot. I swear, only a Martha Stewart recipe could make a raw turkey breast covered in herbs look pretty enough for a picture.

See, what I had did was, I had turned on the tv because it was time for my stories. And what I had seen was the girl on Passions, was getting married, and DA HOOCHIE THERESA WAS WEARING MY DRESS! My beautiful, as yet un-bought, wedding dress.

PANIC!

Do I rush to buy the dress? Should I worry that the dress will now become the Rachel Haircut of wedding dresses? What to do, seriously??

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

I don't think a girl on passions is going to make your dress the rachel shag of dresses.

If you love it, you love it. That's all that matters.

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

OH MY GOD, I ALSO SAW TERESA IN THE DRESS.

And do you know what I had said? I said to myself "Damn, that's a pretty dress!"

And see, T, I didn't even recognize it from the picture. Go get it. Ain't nobody but unemployed trash like us watching Passions. Didn't you love the lady driving THROUGH the church and the priest being all casual "Well, let's get on with the ceremony. We'll worry about the church later." And then the bridesmaid was all "Something's not right about this..." There was a CAR in the CHURCH.

I laughed and laughed. Then I had to turn it off, because it was way to dumb. But, you know, nothing is more dumb than Days, and I'll watch that every day.

T, I'm sorry we missed Sunday! I am sure it was fun. We're dumb, and got all busy doing stupid crap and I totally forgot it was even happening that day.

-- Anonymous, July 19, 2001

I tried to watch Days on Monday when I was home, but as soon as I realized that those two teenagers were supposed to be Brady and Bella I got so irritated I had to shut it off. And now the original Jack and Jennifer are on the show but they're not together anymore? Is their daughter like 42?
