Just burn your *.mpg file by Nero 5.0, or Adaptec EZCD creator, it ready to play in set top DVD or VCD player. Good luck.

www.vcdhelp.com has full details.

Try TMPGEnc (freeware, look at www.vcdhelp.com), simply loading the Template for VCD Pal or NTSC (depends on your mpg), choosing High quality (it should take with a 45 minutes movie app. 2 hours (depends on your computer) and , voila, you can burn it with Nero 5.5 or Adaptec Easy CD Creator Deluxe and you have your VCD Karin

I think the solution is not just simple as mentioned. I used Nero latest version, and had tried B'Recorder Gold to burn VCD but can only run on PC CDROM but cannot play on VCD player.Note : I converted the DAT file from VCD to MPEG-1 using VCDgearGUI. Burned these files using Nero or B'Recorder Gold, still cannot play on normal VCD player.
Some readers mentioned that some VCD player cannot read CD-R or CD- R/W, the question what type or brand of CD-R or CD -R/W is recommended in 0rder to make it workable ?
Thank you ! SY Chai

Nero can do the job for you, just be sure to play your new VCD´s on a compatible VCD player, if you wanna play them on a brand new one like panasonic, you´re lost, try the of the cheap ones
