I like this idea, NUFC should try it - if only we didnt sell all our tickets at full price though. Oh well its the price of supporting the the team with the countries most loyal fans.

Yeah Jonno, what`s your point , make my day badger -:)

"I like this idea, NUFC should try it - if only we didnt sell all our tickets at full price though..." - pertinent.

Unfortunately the article is riddled with asterisks and small print - the average SAFC fan will be paying the same as last year.

Easy to mock, but imo this at least shows SAFC are giving careful and creative thought to encouraging the next generations of fans.
When we have openly bemoaned the lack of thought NUFC are giving to encouraging the bairns, it is imho disingenuous to then say that we should only consider something similar if we can't sell out at full price - precisely the sentiments that appears to be dominant at SJP.

But isn't just a case of SAFC doing it cos they can't fill their ground.....I agree that we should be doing it but it's obviously difficult for the BUSINESS when they can sell all the seats at full price....maybe we need a bigger ground ;))

Gav,
I would argue it is very good business management to plan the development of future customers, and bad practice to ignore it.
Right now - like SFAC - we have some excess capacity and this is precisely the time to expand such initiatives. Name me one similar initiative we have taken?

I think this is just sensible, to be honest. I wish we would do likewise. On the other hand, I detest the way the press portray SAFC as being a community club etc - if Murray could charge more, he would.

Apologies if this has been on b4. Did anyone get the Metro Radio competition last week? They called a phone box and the magic words on lifting the receiver were "Premiership football is for us all" and you would get a pair of makem season tickets. Any Mags pick up and tell them what Metro could do with the tickets?
