Where did the name Jesus came from was it translated from his real name to english jesus or is it a name someone decided to use for our Lord.

The name "Jesus" is the Greek/english rendering of the Hebrew name "Joshua" or "Jeshua". The new Testament was render primarily in Greek. Joshua or Jesus was a very common name among Hebrew. For example and ironically, Barabbas' name is also Jesus.
