BTW, the air fairs to Turin look too good to be true, but the Ryanair Hotel pages don't have Turin as a major city. Most of what came up looks a bit far out. Did you mean the Rough Guide book for Hotels etc ?I didn't get very far looking elsewhere on the internet for suitable accommodation in the vicinity of Turin - most of what I found seemed to be aimed at skiers.

PBYes, I meant the Rough Guide to Italy (travel book). Use your birthday book token to buy also the Lonely Planet Guide to Italy.
I'm away for a week from tomorrow (Sat) and incommunicado (on a yacht race - hence my plea for a results service on another thread) but If you're serious about a visit to N. Italy let me know.
I'll be around here until mid August.
