Camp Memories - For Campers, Counselors, and Staffgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Camp Lutherhaven : One Thread
Ok - if you check out this page, we have favorite one-liners, favorite foods, favorite things about camp... but what about all those wonderful memories? I know that I have tons! But now, I want to hear everyones' memories - that goes for not just campers, but all of our awesome counselors. AND, I would also like to hear from the other staff at lutherhaven - like our directors and secretaries, maintenance crew - Maybe even Stumpy has a cool memory to share!
Shake it for Jesus!
P.S. Check out Ephesians 3:20 - pretty cool verse! ;) (And, the verse has nothing to do with the question at hand... maybe...)

MY FAVORITE MEM. THIS YEAR WAS @ LEADERSHIP CAMP. WE WERE GOIN DOWN TO OREGON, TYLERS GOIN 65 MPH ON THE FREEWAY, WE WERE JAMMING TO SOME TUNES AND WE HEAR A THUD-THUD-THUD. AS WE LOOK BACK MY HUGE NIKE BAG FELL OF THE ROOF. AS IT TUMBLED OF THE VAN AND ROLLED TO ITS SIDE, JERSEY (SHE WAS FROM NJ), J.T. (JESSAMYN THE COUNCELOR) AND I RAN BACK 200 YARDS AND GOT IT FROM THE MIDLE OF THE FREEWAY. IT HAD MAJOR BURNS ON IT. THE ONLY BAD PART IS THAT I COULD ONLY GET ONE PICTURE AND MY MUGH THAT I GOT WAS IN 10 PIECES. BUT IT WAS STILL AWESOME. PEACE FROM THE GhEtTO! (LEADERSHIP CAMP RULES!!!!!!!!)

There are so many! But one that came to me earlier today was snow cone socials. They're the best! I remember my first summer at camp my cabin had one with one of the boys cabins, and then this summer we had one for just the leadership camp people. It was a great way for all of us to get to know eachothers names and to find out some cool stuff about each other. So all you councelors out there, this is definatly something to use with your cabins... *NOTE: FOR SNOW CONE SOCIAL TO BE EFFECTIVE, YOU MUST MAKE THEM THE JT AND TWAGS WAY: 2/3 SYRUP, 1/3 SNOW... IT'S PERFECT THAT WAY! OH YEAH, AND CHRISTIAN ROCK MUSIC HELPS TOO! :^)
ROCK ON! Phillipians 3:1
