Celtic:get stuffed

Celtic reckon they will join the Prem in 5 years.

Well all i can say is:stuff off, or start at the very bottom and work up like everyone else.I'd be outraged if they waltzed into the Prem.

I think we should welcome Celtic and Rangers into the British league. They would be better oposition and would give us a better day out than going to the likes of Leicester or West Ham.

completely disagree rik, teams like those ARE English Football, thats the magic. NOT Scottish teams, leave tham where they are.

...and when was the last time you went to Leicester or West Ham??? I think it is feasible, indeed desirable that the likes of Celtic and Rangers should join a British League. But it couldn't be the English Premiership, otherwise, as Swift says, they would have to start at the bottom. It would require a complete restructuring.

However, I could also see problems. What would happen if they were bottom of the leagu abd get relegated. Where would they go - English 1st Div or back to Bonnie Scotland? And who would replace them? Mebbes Swift has it right after all :-(

west ham, the Wanchope game season before last, Cov 3 years back with Hall and Shepherd in their plane (can i have that instead of Leicester, it is East Midlands)

Rangers and Celtic should NEVER get into our Prem based on the fact they are BIG.

Leave 'em in Scotland. It would be the first step to a euro league, which at this point in time we wouldn't be part of. I don't think the logistics of it would ever be workable. You simply can't have thousands of football fans (espically english and scottish) waltzing through the country. It would be mayhem, and besides who is to say where they start? Those teams that get relegated would be outraged.

Welsh teams have intergrated into the English league. Sam Hammans got big plans for Cardiff. Some may say there isn't a proper league in Wales and that's why Swansea, Wrexham and Cardiff are allowed in. The same argument goes for Scotland. The league is very poor with only 2 decent teams up there. I think that there involement would enrich the League that we now play in.

As for where they start, I would think the best solution would be to relegate four clubs into the Natonwide league, with Celtic and Rangers coming in along with two up from the Nationwide. I I said earlier, I think they would be better than the west ham's Wimbledons, coventry's of this world. I would want to go to Celtic Park / Ibrox, ahead of a trip to Upton park, any day of the week. As for the Scots coming to St James' .... remember the PB testemonial? kin brilliant.

They could live to regret it if it ever came off. They wouldn't find it as easy to qualify for Europe, the way they do now.

A Euro league is more likely, I'd say.

look where those Welsh teams are. Shouldn't they get a bye into the Prem then?

Celtic and Rangers would blend into the English premier league, they would be in the top half of our league. Other Scottish teams in thier top league would struggle in our lower leagues.

What have we realy got against them entering our league?

Think it'll make it harder for us to win it? Or even ever get into the top six ever again?
