Converting .VCD files to editable .mpeg ???

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have some VCD disks that I want to edit and convert to low bitrate streaming video.

How can I get editable files out of the VCD disks? These disks appear to have readable file systems, but I don't have a player or converter.

get the utility DAT2MPG from the net or VCDGEAR16.EXE they are freeware that convert the MPEG-1 Dat files to MPG files that can then be converted to other media formats.
