Does anyone make a small flip-flash (flip from horizontal to vertical) for the M6? I know this sounds like herecy on an M6, but I plan to use a small shoe mount flash and I need the aiming consistency that only a bracket can provide.

Well Leica made several flip brackets. The most common is the CTOOM/15545 bracket (plastic and metal versions) which attaches to the baseplate of the camera using the special alignment stud that early M cameras have (Leica can add the stud if you want it on your M6-TTL). A smaller option is the plastic DFOOB/15609 which slides into your accessory shoe and has a pivot to tilt the flash either way. Remember that a proper flip bracket keeps the flash's retangular head aligned with the changing orientation of the retangular film.

I think "rectangular" would make more sense. Sorry,
