Lisa - do you work for a professional theatre? Don't answer if you don't want to (I don't want to pry) - just curious!

I work in theater so I have incredibly talented friends. Actors, directors, choreographers, artists, musicians, singers. . . name a talent and one of my friends posesses it. But has any of it rubbed off on me? No, not one bit. I'm still schlepping along, the same as I ever did before I got into theater. :::sigh:::

My friends can draw. Most of them - nay, I do believe all of them can draw, whereas I couldn't manage to scribble out even a stick figure to save my life.

They all have artistic eyes. They can design beautiful web sites; they can create lovely paintings and sketches and artwork. I am forced to beg for their talent to make my little site a bit less dull and ordinary. I don't understand why it is that I apparently failed to get that particular artistic gene (I'm going to assume it's linked to the 'grace' gene, since I didn't get that one either). Ah well.

My little sister can draw like nobody's business. She had been working on a comic book storyline through most of high school, had people interested in it ... and then had all of her art books stolen out of our high school's art room.

She hasn't started up another storyline, but she does sketches for everyone, has branched out into painting and sculpting, and is going to film school right now. She's planning on becoming a director some day.

Oh, and she used to model, to help ends meet. And she can sing. And she can dance.

And ... I'm just gonna go sit in a corner and watch her.
