We look to be all set for the trip on Friday am to Brussels, then onto Lokeren on Saturday (Flight & match tickets sorted!)

Has to be the awkward competitions to make arrange arrangements for!!

Anyone else travelling?

If so, where are you staying on Friday - Brussels appears to be the best bet.

Hope you all enjoy it. Let's hope the Belgian police are better behaved and treat supporters with more respect than they did last year in Brussels and Charleroi - I was there and was pretty disgusted. And let's do our best to show that the Mags are the finest supporters the world has ever seen. I live south of Brussels at Waterloo, and I hope our tickets get here by DHL by Saturday, as we had to buy them from the NUFC Box Office too. In any case, we'll be there on Saturday. If you want a change from Brussels, why not stay at Zeebrugge, (near where the ferry comes in) - there's the "Beach Rock" music festival on, which is usually pretty good - Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, and it's really on the beach so if the weather is good, it's great. It goes on till about 3.00 in the morning after the game, so could be a good way to celebrate the win too. Friday night in Brussels there's also music in the open at the "Place de la Monnaie" or "Munt" in the town centre. Or try Ghent or Antwerp : both really nice towns about 15 minutes either side of Lokeren. Does anyone know where the team is staying? - it would be great to give them support on Saturday morning.

Have a great weekend guys - I'm jealous now!
BTW - we'll be expecting eye-witness reports on Sunday or Monday at the latest.

I haven't heard from NUFC ticket office yet. How did you get informed that your ticket applications were successful? Phone, fax, or did you call the ticket office to inquire?

Now I'm getting excited for the new season. People making plans for travelling to the match, and plans for pre/post celebrations....ahhhhh. :-)

Barry my cuz' just e-mailed the following to me:

One of me mates posted a thread last night re intertoto trip to Brussles. Someone living in Brussels has asked where the team are staying, Could you post a reply saying when we played Anderlecht (1996 I think) they stayed in President's Hotel, which is just round the corner from one of the main railway stations.

Of course, they may be staying somewhere else! This information does not guarantee tha either my cuz' nor me knaa what we're taakin' aboot.

Thanks Screacher. I was at Anderlecht, which is in the Brussels suburbs. First sighting of Shearer in B&W, Ginola hogging the ball and everyone else getting a bit fed up with him. This time, I have been told by the Lokeren Box Office they won't be staying in Brussels and they are going to be staying somewhere up near Antwerp/Gent but I am not sure where. I heard it was at Beveren, but that was a false trail after all, as the hotel there knew nothing about it.
