Mundo Deportivo seem pretty certain Zenden will say yes to us, despite the delay.

Should we turn round and tell him to f*** off for delaying?
-- Anonymous, July 11, 2001
yes, unless he has a valid excuse, which is not really enough

in the days of keegan we would have

NUFC.com are reporting that "Spanish media sources" are reporting that Zenden is on his to way to The Toon, although they are doubting the voracity of these sources - saying they could be as reliable as the sources quoting Kiko's transfer yesterday! They report the 'Deporweb' site claim that Barcelona Vice President, Angel Fernandez, has told the media that the deals to take Zenden to Newcastle and Simao to Benfica were concluded on Wednesday morning. It's all becoming rather wearing, but time will tell.
What is "Deporweb's" cred rating, swifty?

http://marca.recoletos.es/home.html are reporting that we're fed up with Zendden as he has refused to talk to us and we are now looking for other left sided players. What a relief we have Bellamy.

On the face of it, BZ seems to be extracting the Rennie. If he isn't prepared to indicate whether he wants to be a Toon player, then I can understand YBR's attitude and he is justified in looking elsewhere. Imagine if he eventually decides to come (how kind of you Boudewein), could he be depended on or would he go AWOL whenever he wants? We've had enough of this type of attitude in the past (Domi, Dumas, Sylvia and Farcelino to name only four). On this form, the words barge and pole come to mind.

depor comes from the paper of the same name. Its 100% credible as its written virtually by Barca themselves. Zenden, meanwhile appears to be less credible...

Swifty - How good is he ?& haven't yuo got a taxi driver contact in Spain yet.

taxista por favor.Laura says Zenden is at best average. However next to Rivaldo you might look average. When Kiko was mentioned she thought he would be an excellent signing. But she did add he was not the same player after his ankle gave up. Perfect then.

All this bad attitude stuff is a bit OTT. To be fair to the player, he's just finished a long season, wants a couple of weeks off before he considers his future. He hasn't actally said that he dosen't want to come to Newcastle Or that he is waiting for others to show an interest in him. His father (agent) is doing what agents should do in trying to see who is interested and who is offerin ther best deal fore his son.We should sit back and see what unfolds.
