I can't get to weather.com or IC. Other parts are very slow and others are just like normal. Anyone know anything. On RAL, there was a note about some state (not mentioned) that has phone service down for several days. ???????

Beckie, while I was running errands today, I noticed that it was taking several minutes to okay debt and credit cards, which means that the area routers were slow. Earlier this afternoon, I noticed that various boards were loading slowly, if at all. Dennis said that he was working on TB2K, but that was hanging up this morming.

I read somewhere that large-scale DoS attacks were underway, and I read somewhere else that the atmosphere is unstable due to solar activity. That's all I've heard at this point. Will let you know if I hear anything for certain from a reputable source.

The comment about solar activity is very likely from a high schooler shooting off his or her mouth. I haven't heard or read anything about the slow downs from anyone I consider reputable, which is why I included my personal observations. If I speak with anyone with a brain later on this topic, I'll post the comments.

I've also had very slow problems since early morning (I mean around 7-ish). On several occasions, the net connection has been broken and I've had to reboot.
