Thank you so much.

I woke up really early but I'm not as nervous as I thought I would be. I'm ready to finally, finally do this thing and then move on to the next step.

I was supposed to have the day off today, but then we had a big stupid meeting at my work yesterday and now it turns out that I have to go to work after court and do some goddamned project that my supervisor couldn't do the whole week that I was on vacation because she's one month pregnant and she "felt sick." Never mind that my supervisor is pulling in a whole bonus salary as the producer of this special project, and that I'm not supposed to be working on it at all.

So anyway... Okay. Y'all talk about normal stuff now, all right?

Thanks, y'all. I'm sort of tired right now, and I'm wondering what I got myself into, but I think everything's working out at least as well as can be expected.

Note to self: buy kitchen timer to go with the Playstation my kids brought over.

I imagined us doing all kinds of fun things every day, but now I'm realizing that when we all get home at 5:30 or 6:00, we are all tired and want to unwind. Then, after we're unwound, the Baby is too sleepy to go anywhere. Yesterday I wanted to go to the museum because it's free on Thursdays. My kids, who had looked forward to it that morning, admitted to me that they'd rather just go home. To play the Playstation.

Poor little lighted-monitor addicts. I don't know where they get it from.

Well, I took my kids to Ottawa and Montreal. I envisioned fun fun fun all the time. It would be FunTV! Is that what happened? Not exactly.

Joe really liked the afternoon he spent watching highlights from the first season of Survivor. Don't ask, I wasn't in charge at that time.

But we did wind up having lots of fun anyway.
