1860 Munich

We should get past Lokren easily enough in the Inter Totoand move onto the semi final. The two clubs that we face are some little known Dutch club or 1860 Munich. They are the Man City of the Bundesliga, but should give us a good game. Anyone know the dates for the semi final game?

The matches in the semi final (NUFC v 1860 Munich) take place on 25th July and August the first. The final game will be against one of the following teams

Troyes (France) or AIK Stockholm (Sweden) v VfL Wolfsburg (Germany) or Dinamo Minsk (Belarus)

Ha'way Swiffy have some faith in the team, We are clear favorites against all of the Intertoto teams that we are likely to face.

Perhaps Stevo can give us the lowdown on RKC Waalwijk , 1860 Munich's opponents in the next round.

And Kiwi Toon can give us the lowdown on Troyes just in case they get through!....

Rooms Katholiek Combinatie Waalwijk, a modest catholic club from the South of the Netherlands. Under Martin Jol underwent remarkable transformation last season for perenial relegation fighters, to a side capable of giving anyone a game, one of tightest defences in Holland, almost making the UEFA. Player to watch full-back Michael Lammey, already now under contract for PSV but staying in Waalwijk for one more season. Small club, small stadium, underestimate them at your peril.

Yes, because we play so well against lower quality opposition..

There're an awful lot of clubs between us and Stevenage Borough (thank God).

Bloody hell Stevo, that was quick. You got ESP or something?

Mind you I think we should underestimate he oposition. All this namby pamby they are a good little team stuff > No disrepect but Howay, We are the mighty NUFC, with £70 Million worth of top international players, with expierience of playing against and beating teams like Barcelona, Kiev and Croatia Zagreb. We CAN beat decent teams, Lets be a bit more positive.

I went to Waalwijk for the Intertoto last summer v Bradford, for a trip out on a warm sunny Sunday. It's a nice ground and the locals were very friendly. There was a great atmosphere and everyone enjoyed it. And Bradford were useless but they still won 1-0 I think.

There is no doubt in my mind that we will win every game in the intertoto. Kiss my death.

Watched Liverpool beat a Bundesliga side last night on Eurosport. Apparently their season starts a couple of weeks before ours so they ought to be fitter.
