Bad kit sponsorship ideas

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just sitting here watching coverage of an A-league match featuring the Richmond Kickers when I noticed what looked to be the same pattern of dirt on the players' behinds (white kit). A closer look reveals this 'dirt' to be their kit sponsors, Target. It features the classic red circle target on each cheek with the word 'Target' above each logo.

A few of the players have wisely pulled their shirts out to cover the targets. ;-)

Another interesting note...one of the players takes his throw-ins with a somersault ala Watto.

Crikey - I had to read that twice. I thought you were gonna say they had the team name on their shorts. That would have been novel. Then, following the same pattern of missing out a letter. I guess they could have put "Shit" on their shirts. ;-)

That's almost as bad as a PL team allowing Adidas to replace the Clubs traditional shirt design with one bearing the three stripes of the Addidas logo fanned out at the top! Tossers!
