One of the latest Chasseur d'Images had a test a they concluded that Gigabit film wasn't any better than TP. It seems to have lower contrast, it's less red-sensitive and the grain isn't as nice (although it's very hard to see). Note that the film itself is pretty light so OTF flash exposure has to be corrected...

Haven't tried it, but I'll stick with TP...
