Ayeeeee!

Just watched a news article on CNN. A young lad had his arm ripped off by a shark while swimming of Florida. His uncle then wrestled the shark back onto the beach with the lad's arm still in it's mouth. The shark's mouth was wedeged open with a stick and the arm was retrieved and later sewn back on in an 11 hour operation.

Top marks to the lad's uncle, and obviously top marks to the surgeons who performed the op. But it just sent a bliddy great shuudddder down my spine. Ooooh (sharp intake of breath)!

aye screach, been all over the news, not a pretty sight at all. The most amazing part is that the lad will survive. Bet he won't swim in the ocean again for a while though, gotta be scarred mentally as well as physically. It's a shame really because the odds of things like that happening have got to be outrageous.

And people said Jaws was just a movie. Hmmph.

Been terrified of ocean swimming since 1976, and see no reason to stop now. ;-)

If he does swim it'll be around in circles.

I can see it coming if we continue training at the Long Sands at Tynemouth, the headlines in the Ronnie will read: "More injury woes for Toon - Farcelino's finger savaged by flounder".

Excellent jonno! RAOTFLMAO! There was a TV special on sharks last night, and I saw the funniest thing. A shark was chasing a turtle looking for a snack and this turtle (bless him) ends up chinning the shark. Never thought I'd see that mind.
