Temper Temper!!!

Well we started out okay. I was just building away on my wall and to my right was this mud dauber workin on his own little dwelling under the eve. We were doin fine keepin our own space and once in a while one of us would take a peek and admire each others work. Mutual respect! The only thing we really shared was the bucket of water I used for mixing concrete.

As it happened we bothed reached for some water at the same time. Purely by accident we bumped each other. Well dang this little guy just flew into a rage!!! He popped me once in the neck and in the arm before I could throw My first blow! When I jumped out of range and saw him fling himself at me butt first I threw this perfertly timed roundhouse right that landed flush! I last saw him rolling down hill in the dust.

I thought that was the end of it but as I came out after tending my wounds there he was busy back at his building duties! Well the rest of the afternoon we had an easy truce and watched out the corner of our eyes for sneak attacks. As I cleaned up and went into the house I gave him one parting shot telling him his mud house looks like crap and I swear I heard him Tell me to kiss his shiny stripped as@#!!

Tommorow is another day and I tell ya if this little guy goes off again I'll Show him whos the dominate species!!!!! Grumble grumble!...Kirk

I loved your account of events! Whenever I have a day like that, my sweet little sugar doodle points out that my adversary was superior to me.

The little bugger isn't very thankful for his "eve" is he?!! With all the trees in the woods, why do they want our houses? Too bad you can't teach him to put concrete instead of mud where you want it! Maybe next year, with him watching you this year, his little house will be pebbles and mud.

I thought I was the only one that co-existed with the wasps!! Hubby knocked down the nest they were building over the front door - after I had been going in and out for a couple of weeks admiring their work. They've moved to the other end of the porch now, so I guess he might let them stay.

I had a beautiful hornets nest handing out in the garage, but it got knocked down and now looks a little bedraggled - guess I ought to start looking for another one. Don't think I'll be like Uncle Ralph though, I think I'll wait 'til winter when the hornets are all out of it.....

But he's fine now.... ;o)
