During my years living in Texas, I became fascinated with the life of Lyndon Baines Johnson who may go down in history as the most despicable human being to ever hold high public office. This ‘new’ flap over his bogus Silver Star is just the tip of the iceberg regarding this lying coward who cheated his way to the Presidency.Of all the books and articles I’ve read on him, the following has to be the definitive piece on his rise in politics out of south Texas in the early 40’s:
A Fellow Texan Looks at LBJ, by Everett Haley
From the get go, LBJ played slave to his master, Mr. Herman Brown. Never heard of old Herman you say? Once positioned in Washington, LBJ spoon fed the State of Texas with a massive meal of government funded projects ranging from military bases and interstates, to the crown jewel of all engineering contracts: The LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY. All of this work went to a little firm out of Houston called Brown and Root Engineering. Yep, old Herman again.
Take the time to read this book, which will take you into a world of criminal corruption and immorality as ugly as it gets.
While you’re at it, do a little research on Billy Sol Estes. You can’t make this stuff up….trust me.

LBJ picked up his dog by the ears. LBJ flashed his fat stomach at the camera to show his surgical scars. LBJ had big ears. LBJ married a Lady bird and conceived a Linda bird.LBJ was a good ole boy, a corrupt, foul-mouthed, philandering, yeller- dog demagog who lost his spirit and probably his life due to Viet Nam. In a way, I liked him.

Indeed Soc. One of LBJ's favorite sayings was "When ya got 'em by the balls, their hearts will follow."
