Is there a place for dissenting Public Art?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Public Art : One Thread

My collaborator & I recently completed a large scale temporary public art 'spectacle' in Sydney, which used illuminated bus shelters, billboards, 40,000 postcards, and newspaper, magazine, & online reports to participate in the discourses around sexuality which preoccupy this city. It created a great deal of interesting debate here.We would love to take the project to another city. But we need help! Any suggestions on who might be interested to mount the works would be most appreciated.

You can see the actual pieces and some of the news reports on thesesites: http://abc.net.au/arts/news/hetero/heterocover.htm#photos http://www.smh.com.au/2001/mardigras/stories/hetero.html eurogay.co.uk/queernews/0201/mardi1.html www.anderson.ucla.edu/zone/exchange/010220/hetero.htm
