Nah, I think he'll play some reserve games then get 'injured'. The lad is simply not interested.

Has there been any word about him one way or another in recent months whether he is staying or going (and how we would notice the difference)? The guy is supposed to be able to play a bit so he starts 01/02 with a clean sheet as far as I'm concerned. It would be a massive bonus for us if he can start to show the form which
his agent said he hadwas there to see on the videoprompted us to buy him in the first place. It would be good to suddenly have a "free" central defender (I say free as we already seem to have written off any hope of getting money for him). Let's face it - all the time he has been with us, it can't be denied - he hasn't made too many mistakes on the pitch has he? Just needs to get his finger out (or was that the mistake he made last time?)

He has to realise that no one wants him,(not even Spanish clubs) because of his poor record at Newcastle. He has to get his head down and start to play football, either that or get a job as a sid the sexist lookalike.

He is starting from a position some way behind the give 'em a second chancers like Luax2. And maybe time has blurred my memory but he was always pants - I refer the honourable gentleman to Wimbledon away...10 yd sliding tackle, missed man, ball, stadium, ...

Charlton away last season - turns his backs on Svensson as he makes to shoot/score, rather than attempting to block the shot. He's a bottler - end of Toon career. Just get rid.

Thanks for reminding me of that clarky!Hughes, Dabizas, O'Brien, Caldwell ... to name but 4 of those who are ahead of him for selection on merit. He's not fit to warm the sub's bench at KP

The galling thing is, he probably has to come good before anybody is likely to part with the dosh to take him off our hands, so in a way we'd be doing ourselves a favour by giving him all the encouragement necessary to help him to even fake going through the motions. The operative word being 'motions' up to now.

Free transfer would do for me. Save on his wages. Loan deal to Hartlepool?
-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001
What have you got against Hartlepool? ;-) Clarky, I was going to mention the Charlton game but you beat me to it!

He did turn up for training though, you have to give him that. After all, everyone deserves a
second third fourth fifth sixth seventh eighth ninth tenth eleventh twelfth thirteenthfourteenth chance.
