How forlorn do our players look

on the back of the Ronnie? Floods - you'd think they were being taken to have really painful surgery.

Also, probably noted elsewhere, Freddy says that people can p*ss right off if they think they can have our young players.

I live 300yds from Tynemouth Long Sands, yet drove past Darsley Park and Blue Flames grounds in Longbenton yesterday to see if I could see any sign of the lads training!!!
The grounds are indeed next to each other. However, Darsley Park is set back and well secluded by trees/bushes with access down a single longish, shrub-lined drive.
So, if they decide to base training there temporarily - not a bad decision actually - it will be very easy to preclude the prying eyes of the public - something I feel sure they will indeed do.

300yds from the Long Sands? Where?

Actually, Pit Bill, there's only Marcelino who looks half-happy about it. Scary, innit?

Notice how he's put his hands in full view, so we can see they're all better now, so why don't we all lay off ?

On a slightly serious note, it wouldn't surprise me if he settles his differences when nowt happens immediately after July 7th, and saves us an enormous wedge. Some hope.

Marcelino has just been too shy to say but he doesn't really see himself as an aggressive centre half, his best position would be wide left, in a Ginolaesque prima donna type role. The only reason he hasn't dared say ahything was he was scared of Mick Wadsowrth, now he's gone I think we'll hear renditions of "Elena on the wing" ringing around St James park. A bargain at £5m

Speaking of forlorn looks, did anyone else get the flyer advertising the new away kit? Why they chose to use a photo where the players look confused and unhappy to sell something is beyond me. But it did give me a good laugh. :-)

I still think Martha should have been stuck up front when we had our little striker crisis last season. His shot against West Ham (I think) was a cracker. It would have been a strange feeling indeed if it had gone in.
