imagemate sddr-09 installation error on W2K

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

For your interest: After several hours trying to figure out what was wrong with the ImageMate SDDR-09 on Windows 2000 (5.00.2195 SP2) (STOP 0x00000050 Page_Fault_in_Non-Paged_Area during the driver's installation process), I finally discovered that the driver posted on Sandisk's web site (www.sandisk.com/download/Drivers/SDDR-09/sddr09_2k_203inf.exe) was an old version version: EUSBMSD.SYS 49,235 bytes Version 1.0.1.10 The SDDR-9 is in fact an OEM from SCM Microsystems. Replacing yhis driver with the lastest W2K driver downloaded from SCM Microsystems web site (ftp://ftp.scmmicro.com/dm/drivers/eUSBSM.zip): EUSBMSD.SYS 54,211 bytes Version 2.0.0.1 fixed the problem. The SDDR-9 (finally!!!) works as a charm.

Answers

You 're right : the Sandisk version is an old one.

They announce that the W2K can (may be) work under WinXP, but when I try, my system crash. Following your link, I have found a XP compatible version, working fine (version 2.14)...

Thanks a lot for your help ! ! !
