From teamsquak,Barca accept bumper Zenden offers ^top Barcelona have confirmed they have accepted bids of more than £7million for Boudewijn Zenden from Newcastle and French club Lyon. According to reports in Spain, the Catalan outfit are willing to sell the Dutch winger for around two billion pesetas - almost £7.5 million. It is now up to Zenden to decide whether his future lies in France or the Premiership. The 25-year-old has previously claimed that he was keen to move to a club who would be involved in European competition, suggesting that Lyon may be in pole position to sign him, despite United's Intertoto Cup campaign. Several clubs have shown an interest in Zenden over the last few weeks, with Parma and Paris St Germain also both linked with the speedy wideman. But Newcastle boss Bobby Robson, having had an offer accepted, can now only hope that Zenden wants to try his luck in English football. Just read that too. If this is the case then we should have pretty good chance to sign him.

Swift, You think we've signed him then??

It would certainly help raise the spirits of the fans if he chose us over a team in the Champions League. If he signs I'll be well chufffed, but unforunately I can't see him siging.

That is a very smart move and one can only gasp in astonishment at the business acumen of a club like Barca which leaves our management standing. When we sell a player we only sell him to the one club and obviously we could be making much more cash using the Barca approach. Marcia to Real AND Barca?
