scanner for CSX lines in Georgia ie Georgia RR and SAL (Winder area.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

I have an old scanner (crystals). Moving to the area of the former Georgia Railroad (Covington, GA) and will work near the old SAL Rwy (Winder, Ga)

I would like to obtain the proper crystals so as to listen in on what I conclude is all CSX lines now.

Can anyone direct my search for proper materials.

Also is there a group in the Atlanta area which focuses on the former Georgia, A&WP, WofA lines?

Thanks,

The former SAL frequency for the area is 161.100. The former GaRR frequency is 160.590. To my knowledge, these frequencies are still being used on these lines.

Also, I do not know of any group that focuses on these lines other than the ACL/SAL HS. (If there is, let me know!!)
