How low would you go?

"You couldn't pay me enough to sit in the Stadium of light and watch the maKems !"

How much money would it take for you to become a maKem ? You couldn't pretend, the deal is you BURN your B/w shirt, are given a season ticket for a canny seat at the SOL, and a nice red and white striped shirts to wear. You also have to sing along with the other maKems and even chant anti Newcastle stuff.

What you are really asking is "what price do you put on your integrity?"

I hope I maintain mine always...what do you mean it's already lost?

Everything has it's price, just curious as to how much it would take for your average geordie to change sides. How about we start at a million and work backwards?

RiK

you are missing the point.... price versus value???????

i have values so would not do it....

As Newcastle and Sunderland never play at home on the same day, I'd quite happily endure 90 minutes of long balls for a season, as long as the compensation had at least 6 zeroes on the end of it.

Rikster bud,

To be honest the makkems seem to be already going down the path of payments, as we speak.

First its giving 65% of the ground concessions, then letting people in for now, Now 0% interest payments on season tickets.

Everyone else,

For Newcastle Uniteds future PLEASE DONT ANSWER THIS QUESTION, I'm sure Bob Murrays on the path to paying fans. P.S DONT NAME YOUR PRICE.

You may get Bob thinking he can entice you too.

I suspect it would be impossible at any price. OK, you could go through the motions of burning your Toon shirt and turning up at Monkwearmouth colliery. You might even sing the songs if the price is right. But I imagine it would be impossible to LOVE the Mackems in the way you love the Toon.

So to answer your question Rik, I'd go through the motions for say £20k a year. However if I also have to be banned from SJP then the price would be more like £5 a week I'd have to think about it very carefully. :-)

The last time I saw a Sunderland game for nowt was when a mate leant me his season ticket for a game. I've tried very hard to find these elusive "Free" match day tickets, but always ended up paying 23 quid. Perhaps T.Smith, being an expert on SAFC ticketing matters, could advise me? (failing that, see a doctor about that gramaphone needle instrusion.)

Bob wouldn't waste his time trying to lure dyed in the wool black and whites to the SOL, but the "floating" support is fair game.
