Well it shows how deceptive appearances can be, although I must admit it did throw me somewhat when you came in and started being abusive with everyone. Hmmm. Colourful language is fine in it's place. It's place is certainly not on here simply to abuse other contributors.

Used sparingly it has tremendous power to amuse, shock, add stress etc. Used every other sentence it is the product of a lazy mind and it becomes tedious and offensive (although Derek and Clive might be the brilliant exception which proves the rule).

All right I'll go forth and multiply.

I agree Pit Bill. I don`t have a big problem with a bit of bad language if it is used amusingly or to emphasise a point. There are a couple of words I find really offensive, but that`s just a pet hate of mine. What I really can`t stand is foul language and abuse being hurled back and forth in a tit for tat manner...it quite often kills off an otherwise interesting discussion.

Anyway superkev, I am breaking from tradition for once, and changing the subject to football. Did you know that one of your Sunderland scouts has been keeping a very close eye on a Bournemouth FC player? (:o)

Talking of which, is anybody else having to stifle sneaky feelings of something bordering on admiration at the way monkee heed has just got on with signing players with none of the fannying around that seems to dog every attempt we make ?

I know it doesn't necessarily follow that any of them will be any good, but I'd far rather have that to worry about than the uncertainty we're facing at the moment.
