Just called up the Ticket Office to find out what they have dome with my ST and asked, in passing, whether there were any new ones as my sister would quite like. They said that there are NO new STs available - that they are, in fact, sold out...

See Dougal, clarky said it would be good for a laugh to cheer you up!
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
but then all that stuff that we've been reading in the papers wouldn't be true ?
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
And all the stuff that's been spouted on here as well??However, that means that we're taking the word of this bird at the club about the tickets being sold out when we KNOW they're as efficient as a chocolate fireguard... :))

Sunderland are trying to get compensation from the guy who sold him to them aren't they
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
I presume you're not talking about the fireguard Mac?
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
This is fairly serious .You made a genuine enquiry about another ticket and were told there wern't any left, when there are actually spares?
If the woman in the box office worked for me, I'd sack her.

A chocolate fireguard may be higly efficient - in its effectiveness is where we finds its deep demise...I do wish you'd stop telling me to properly f**k off again... ;-)

Ahhh.....so they're selling fewer ST's and more pay on the day. That way they can claim 100% take-up on ST's. A cunning plan.
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
Sold out yer ST's?.........glutton for punishment that's all I can say.
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
I thought it might just be the club's policy - refsuing to admit that there are spares, but when I asked whether I could have an application form "just in case", she said, "no, all season tickets are definitely sold for this season".

You're winding up the maKems and Brummie lurkers aren't you Dougal?
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
Brummie Reds. Loud and feckin' proud....lolOh ffs...roll on the season...I need summat to rip into U lot over :-)

Slightly off the point, but I asked my nephew if he wanted me to buy him an ST for this season. The little get's reply? "No, but if you want to spend that much money on me, can I have membership to the David Lloyd Fitness Centre in Gosforth?"
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
Dougal - if it had been me he'd said that to, he'd have been incapable of using the facilities at the David Lloyd fitnes centre - unless they have a specialty in healing broken bones ;-)

Last season ST's were sold out too. Apparently, FS thinks that a small amount of tickets should be made available to the public. Last season there were 2500 per match available for general sale - this may be the case next season too.

Well i am on ST waiting list have had no letter of application and u say they've sold out?I guess that ill have 2 wait another year.. :(
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
James, my sister wasn't on waiting list so maybe the "sold out" includes waiting list people. Don't despair!
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
Don't despair! Not yet anyways. The time to despair is when you actually get the ticket. :-)
-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001
I thought it might just be the club's policy - refsuingRef suing? Goodness me - that would occupy the entire legal profession for decades wouldn't it? :-)
-- Anonymous, July 03, 2001
James, keep pestering them, I'm sure they'l be able to find you a seat if you bug them enough. Try writing directly to Russell Cushing (before he resigns)
