Still no answer to my Mackem question.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Whether you like the banter and don't mind the Mackems or like me, you detest all of them; I'd like to know how they got in here? Did someone divulge the password or was it espionage?

You fuckers are not clever enough to avoid us. Well sorry, the majority of this board are clever enough but you are just a fucking retard. Why do you hate mackems so much? Is it 'cos you are scared? Or could it be that you are soooooo thick that hatred is your only option? Oh and to answer your question, yes someone did divulge the password.See you soon tosspot( if i go to the metrocentre and security are in the vicinity!)

Funny coming from you Sooper. You arrived on this board in a blaze of hatred. As it happens, I'm of a split opinion about you. In general I welcome the banter. However, I cannot ignore the fact that every thread you post on seems to degenerate into childish tit tat. It is rare now to get an intellegent discussion without one of you guys pointing out that we arn't as good as we used to be...yawn, yawn.

In short, I havn't got a problem with you as long as you adhere to the rules and etiquette. That means not hijacking threads for your own personal crusades.

p.s. you smell :)

Right, enough boys

William/Kev you seem to have built a nice feeling of dislike of each other on here. None of the rest of us want to be involved in 'detest all of them' and 'fucking retard' type "debate".

Maybe you should just swap e-mail addresses and send each other love letters, out of the view of the rest of us who would rather not have to read the Daily Star level of wit you scream at each other.

William ...... ignore him it belittles you Kev ...... ignore him he's just succeeding in provoking you into looking like a foul-mouthed bigot

I welcome the participation of supporters of any other Clubs, including our local rivals, provided it is conducted in a way that is generally acceptable to the "residents" - always accepting their right to defend their Club from any criticism or ridicule, which might become emotional and overly vigorous from time to time.

I have enjoyed the banter with LR, and feel ML#3 has become a valued contributor on here, as is OML although he rarely posts.

Superkev could become a welcome guest; however, despite encouragement I'm afraid he is now generally falling short of reasonable and acceptable behaviour. I know of a number of regulars who are now finding the majority of his posts crude and objectionable.

I know its difficult SMB, but it really would be better - and in the best interests of the bbs - just to totally ignore his cruder taunts. One or two on here have tried to provoke ML#3, but he has generally deflected any attacks with cutting sarcasm and humour, and imo built respect because of that.

I would have thought that I've probably dished out a large proportion of passwords for this BBs, So I've probably let them in.

Sorry.

....so all the foul-mouthed abuse should be directed at the lovely/loveable Rik.

-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001

Look i've said I'm sorry, you can ban me if you want.

-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001

...but we never believe anything you say Rik. Why should we believe you this time when you say you're sorry?

-- Anonymous, July 02, 2001

I think you're all missing the point. There have been no mackem posters on here at all, every single manifestation of a mackem is actaully Rik playing a different schizophrenic role. SO he never did give the password away, its all just him.

As am I.

I got the password from Rik. I've given it to one person who ran some Australian site (might have been Swedish, I can't remember)

Generally though, I'm up for a bit of banter with Mackems. My next door neighbour is a Mackem, as is my dad's entire family (although not all of them are football fans)

Banter between local rivals is healthy for the rivalry - so long as it doesn't fall into a slagging match or an exchange of curious remarks.

I can't really start saying what is wrong and right on the board as I've only been frequenting it for just under a year, but it would be nice if more often than not the banter could at least be friendly.

I object to the Daily Star remark Macbeth (with a smile on my face, I hasten to add) but funnily enough, as of last night is my intention to avoid any further "debate" with Sewpah Kev or any of his kind.

Thank you.
