A lawsuit has been launched in connection with a helicopter crash that killed four men in southern BC. The owner of the Bell 214 chopper, East West Transportation, claims there was a faulty fuel system on the craft and the operators were not properly informed of the risks. The company has filed suit against the manufacturers and others involved in the system's design, including Bell helicopters, Honeywell and General Electric. The Workers' Compensation Board has filed a wrongful death suit in the case, making the same allegation. Four men died when their Bell 214 crashed into a creek bed in Kaslo, BC two years ago.
