I hope this works! It did on photo.net, thanks to the suggestions of many fine friends here.

Great...it worked! I am truly so computer stupid that I had to be walked through how to move an image from the photo.net gallery to this site!

This is a "fun photo" taken with an ancient Nikon F, 55mm 3.5 Micro-Nikkor (given to me by a parent of one of my students), and XP-2 film I've been playing with...having proofs made with a Fuji Frontier lab...very good. This is one of my students and her dad at the end of a very long hike on a field trip to Point Lobos last month.

Unfortunately, I get a white box with a message that says "Picture not available." Properties gives me this url, which looks fine:

http://www.photo.net/photodb/image-display?photo_id=273036&size=lg

The problem may be that the picture is not marked for public viewing - one of the check boxes when you upload it. However, you can change that after the fact. From your single photo view of the picture, select "Edit Image Info" and make sure that Photo Available to Public is checked.

John...the image shows on my screen but then I'm not the "public." I changed it to public viewing. Hope this now works.

I really don't use this function much except for this forum and the Rollei Club! Thanks again for the suggestion.

Ok...it shows on my screen again. Please let me know if it shows on your screen. Sorry to be such a pain...I need to get this right.

Yes! It's working now.

Actually, since every board is different, I run into the same problems if I haven't done it for a while. We really need an upload feature.

This explains a lot! No wonder my efforts in that other thread weren't working! I feel better now :)
