Answers

Aching Pegs.

Cause I couldn't think of a 'p' to describe my back, and the cramped and ancient office I've been in this week have, by now, put my entire body into pain. (so glad this contract is over!) :-) sooooooooooooo...

Tonight....visiting a friend and drinking strawberry daiquiris while sitting on the dock of the bay(well, the inlet we live on anyhow).

Tomorrow....sleeping late then working a Freedom/DC United doubleheader

Sunday...sleeping late, errands, watching the US WCQ in Mexico.

Well, having been dragged back from beautiful Northumbria to grotty ManUreland for the day, I will be headed back towards God's Own Country again this evening to spend the first w/e in my new gaff, admiring the scenery and generally being at peace with the world. The local pub might just figure in my plans as well - after all, I feel a thorough recce is essential ;-)

Lots of preliminary packing before we move house a week on Monday. You know the sort of thing: spending hours boxing up dozens of items you know perfectly well that you won't need, but which become completely essential 3 days after you wrap them up and bury them at the bottom of the heap.

Other than that, keep on tapping the information into my Toon database and bouncing the baby on my knee.

Thinking of renaming myself "Wellfield Whinger" or "Monkseaton Moaner", What do you think?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Sorry, Softie but the latter title is already taken by by mother-in- law.

Rik - it's about 10 miles short of Wooler to the NW of Alnwick an the A697. I'd like to say you're welcome to come and visit...................but er, ...........of course you are. No phone yet so use my mobile. Mind, I'm only there this w/e and part ofd next week before Syme buys me a beer of 3 in Chicago ;-)

Wellfield Whinger would be canny.

I can see Wellfield from my house in Preston Farm through the the sights of my crossbow, so remember to shut your curtains.

Off to the "The Cult" tonight at the house of blues, last time I saw them they were excellent. Tomorrow final installment of the girlfriends birthday surprises by whisking her of to a relativley unspoiled part of Michigans lake front, followed by overly priced drinks and food. Sunday back in chicago fight 3 million people who have managed to converge on Grant park for the taste of chicago, finally getting home around midnight.

This weekend ....

Golf tonight, then up early to the Airport, got a helicopter booked to take me to Silverstone tomorrow. I'm doing some testing for the Jordan f1 team over the weekend. Then it's back to Tyneside on Sunday with my Irish mate Eddy for yet another round at Bedlingtonshire.

Off on my Annual "pilgimage" to Rhodes for a couple of weeks. By he time I land there tomorrow the first Lions test will have finished and I won't know the score! By tomorrow night I probably won't care :o))

Softie! Didn't know you were moving, too. Congrats! YOu'll have to use my packing trick....wait until 2 day prior to moving, then spend 48 straight hours throwing everything into any space in any box.

Makes unpacking rather hellish...but has the added bonus of finding things you'd completely forgotten you owned years later. ;-)
