I had real doubts about the wisdom of KK paying £1.5 million for Pedro at 31 yrs of age - boy was I wrong on that one! I'd take him as Hughes and O'Brien could learn a lot from him as well as the fact he's better than any of our defenders that we have now

I know what you mean Kegsy, and I do like Southgate as a player and a potentially positive influence in the dressing room. However, as a defender I don't think he's ideally what we're looking for - a real physical presence - and at £7.5mm he's far too expensive for us right now. At £3-4mm I'd probably take a different view.
