Former Newcastle United superstar Silvio Maric is being sued by his ex-girlfriend after he dumped her by phone.

Tatjana Mrduljas wants £1.5 million, claiming she spent her time shopping and living a life of luxury because of him instead of concentrating on her career as a foot model.

The 25-year-old could make legal history in Croatia if she wins her case against the international for damaging her career.

She claims he was so jealous about people looking at her feet that he stopped her getting modelling contracts

Ms Mrduljas says if she had not got involved with Maric her career would have advanced more, although she is already regarded as one of the country's top foot models.

She claims he led her on with false promises then dumped her.

In a ground-breaking case, she says she should be entitled to similar rights to a married woman in claiming compensation for being left.

Ms Mrduljas told the Zagreb daily newspaper Jutarnji list: "I f****d him three times a day even though he was a dirty smelly animal and then he ditched me over the phone."

The 26-year-old player claims Ms Mrduljas is a "spoilt goose" who never did anything around the house because they had a maid.

"I would rather burn all of the money than give it to her," he said.
