For all of you 600mm users out there, please let me know if you think a Wimberley head would be feasible with one tripod. What other tips/techniques do you have to share?

I have serious doubts about any single tripod/head combination controling this lens in the 1/2 to 1/15 sec range. Probably better to use the new Provia 400 in certain instances to get it out of the bad shutter speed range. Or... stop it down to f/45 and use Velvia to get it to shutter speeds slower than 1/2 sec. Having two camera bodies with different film comes in handy. SR
