Response to Ziegge

Wouldn't suprise me actually, given our LB problems. Temperamental, not very loyal, but capable of getting down the left and putting quality crosses in. Not worth breaking the bank for though.

Response to Ziegge

The thing that stands out here is that if he came here he'd have to be ready to turn the "I'm not the Stan Collymore-type" of attitude that he is getting labelled with. This could be his last shot in the PL, and thus his last shot period. If he's got anything left, and most believe he does, he'd be desparate to show it. If he did sign for us though I'd worry about him being another Collymore, but I'd also love it if he proved me wrong.

Response to Ziegge

Decent player who seems to be a bit of a trouble-maker. The thing that bothers me is he couldn't get into Liverpool's team because he couldn't defend - sound familiar?
If we believe we are going to sign Zenden to play wide left I don't think Ziege is then a good enough defensive LB.
In actual fact, like Wayne Quinn, Ziege is really a wing-back - I wish we would get our act together and stop seeking to acquire square pegs when we have several very large and very deep round holes needing to be filled.

A lot better value than bloody Bellemy,

Ziege appears to be a Zenden not coming back up. Ziege is a quality player. Someone please tell me Bellamy is just a sick sick joke...

Ziege is a mercenary piece of shit, i know it was the smoggies that he stiffed but that doesn't change a thing! how can we vilify hamann and yet consider signing ziege who is just as bad???

Good player but I don't want wankers like that in football never mind playing for us....

Yeh, they were basically my thoughts Gav - bargepole job.
We don't need any more players with his attitude at SJP after having just got rid of a multitude of them.
We must carefully build a squad of players with the right attitude, and who want to play here - irrespective of how long that takes. However, our moves right now - as evidenced by the newspapers admittedly - bear all the hallmarks of desperation.

desperation? more like idiocy

We don't need / want his type at our club. He would be coming for the wrong reasons.
