TOKYO (June 22, 2001 11:28 a.m. EDT) - Honda Motor Co. said Friday it will recall more than 11,000 minicars produced in Japan because their wheel bolts underwent inadequate heat treatment.

The recall of 11,624 Life and Life Dunk minivans, all sold on the domestic market, comes in addition to 100,571 vehicles covering 19 models that the carmaker recalled earlier this month for repairs.

The two models were produced at Honda's largest factory in Suzuka, central Japan. Honda does not produce or sell minicars overseas.
