Please could someone send me the report from the match where you beat us to secure your intertoto place. It seems that i fell into a drink induced coma and missed it.What was the score? Was it at our place or at yours? Or is it that you are trying to make out that you pipped us to it? Try if you will to imagine if the situation was reversed. You would be pissing yourself laughing and calling us small time. Well thats how i feel about it.And i dare say fans of Southampton and Charlton feel the same. And that is Charlton with a worse european record than even us!I re-iterate my point last night in so far as i hope if you go to poland you are streetwise(apart from smb who i hope gets well tuned in!)

I assumed it was because we are seeded in Europe and your lot aren't but I don't claim this as fact. Anyhow if it's annoys the red'n'white hoards it cannot be a bad thing.

Seems to me that clubs the size of Charlton, Southampton and Sunderland decided it would be overstretching themselves too much to try and get a UEFA place via the Intertoto. For them it was better to concentrate all their efforts on the league, and perhaps a cup run. Villa and Newcastle are obviously in a different bracket and hence have greater ambitions, despite relatively shite performances in the league last season.
